Hello! My name is Alexandra Gutman. I am originally from Texas but now I am based out of Maryland. I have been training in Classical ballet since I was 9 years-old. I moved away from home at 13 to pursue my pre-professional career in dance. I started off at the Indiana Ballet Conservatory in Carmel, Indiana. Then, I spent two years training at the Nutmeg Ballet under Victoria Mazzarelli, Tim Melady, Eleanor D'antuano, Alexei Tchernichov, and Kirk Perterson.
Following my years at The Nutmeg Ballet, I was invited to study at the world-renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow where during my first year I was in the class of Anna Leonova (our director's daughter) Then after our exams I was selected by the jury to skip 2 years of training to join the graduating class. I was the first to ever to join the graduating class after only 1 year of training. After graduating early I came back to the States to work towards auditioning for ballet theaters. This past year I placed 2nd in the International Ballet competition in Playa del Carmen.
